Root of Contentment - Hebrews 13

Contentment is not a gift that falls into someone's life.  It also is not an attribute the should be demanded for pious, Christian living.  Contentment is merely a bi-product of a necessary condition:  Faith.

Consider these verses:  "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.  So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me."

Why be content?  Because Jesus Christ is will you every step of the way.  There is no need greater than an Eternal Saviour and once that need is met, there is no need for discontent or coveteousness.  Matieral contentment will wane with the coming of new stuff but true contentment outpours from having Jesus Christ LORD.  This is the contentment that allows someone like Peter Yun to endure heavy persecution.  This is the contentment that says, "I will not fear what man shall do unto me."  Where is the root of your contentment?
