Servant Leadership (Philippians 2:5-8)

Phi. 2:5-8 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

If we are going to be able to impact the world with the gospel we are going to have to first become servants. God made himself of no reputation and took on the form of a servant. Many times we have to have a title attached to our name before we will serve God, but God is looking for a servant who will make himself of no reputation, and do everything they can not for a title, but rather for seeing this world evangelized with the gospel. God is looking for those who would be willing to bring a snotty nose kid to church, help with the jobs that nobody else would want, and make himself a servant. If you have the attitude that you could clean the church toilets, God could send you to another country to serve Him. There was nothing appealing about the job title that Christ had. He had to die for sins he never committed, but he became a servant. We need to become servants for Jesus Christ.
