James, Christina, Emily, and Meagan Henline

Christina and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Lord for our salvation. We were both blessed with the privilege of being raised in a Christian home, where we were taught God's Word and His wonderful plan of salvation.  Meagan is the latest addition to our family and was born while we were in Peru in March of 2005. We are currently in the states raising additional support before returning to the field. The last year and a half we were in Peru learning the language and involved in many different ministries.

James:

At the age of five, I came to the realization that I was lost and on my way to hell. I knew that I was a sinner, and that Jesus Christ had died to pay for my sin. I made the personal decision to accept Christ as my personal Saviour. Growing up I always had a desire to serve God in the area of missions, but it wasn't until I was 15 that I surrendered my life to do what ever God had for my life. After graduating from hight school I attended Crown College and majored in missions. While I was at Crown I met my wife Christina and shortly after graduating we were married.

Christina:

I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour at the age of nine. Shortly after that time, the Lord greatly burdened my heart in the area of missions. In September of 1995, I surrendered my life to the Lord to be a missionary.

Experience

Upon graduating from high school, I attended Crown College, where I had the opportunity to spend seven months in Arequipa, Peru with missionary Austin Gardner. While in Peru, I learned first hand how to deal with missionary life, and how to overcome culture shock.
I was also able to get a good foundation of the Spanish language. I graduated from Crown College in May of 2001, with a degree in Biblical Missions. Seven months later, on December 22, Christina and I were married. I thank the Lord that He had already given her a burden to be on the mission field.
Because of the language study I had while in Peru, I had the opportunity of starting a Spanish ministry in my home church. The Lord blessed in many ways, and we have seen several Latin people come to trust Christ as their personal Saviour.
