In August of last year the Lord used the youth group of Grace Baptist Church of Middletown, Ohio to help us get about 200 contacts for starting a new church, and since that time we have been visiting and starting bible studies with some of those contacts. In March of this year we brought the Bible studies together and formed Mission Baptist Church in the district of San Borja.

It has been a blessing to see God form another church in a district that has a great need for a church. We are currently using the second floor of a restaurant because of the expense of renting a building in the area we are in. We are only able to hold services right now on Sunday mornings until we can save enough money to rent a facility that we can use all the time, but we also do Bible studies during the week so that there is an opportunity for those that want to keep growing.

During the month of March we averaged 30 people in the services on Sunday morning, and it is exciting to see these people excited about having a church in their district. Several have been saved and baptized and we look forward to seeing what God will do with Mission Baptist Church. Please pray that the Lord will help the church to grow and mature so that it can have a big part in impacting the world with the gospel. We have trained them from day one that our purpose is to bring honor and glory to the Lord and that our Mission is to take the gospel to every creature. I know that one day you will hear about these churches sending missionaries to other countries and impacting the world with the gospel.
