It was a great priviledge to have the youth group from Grace Baptist in Middletown, OH, here with us last month. They were a great help and a tremendous blessing and we are still seeing things happen as a result from the seed that they planted while they were here.

One of the main focuses we had with this group was to help start a Bible study for a second church we would like to start here in Lima. One of the greatest difficulties in starting a new work is that you do not have any contacts. So, during this week we developed a questionaire that we used to get to know people and it also gave us a method of getting their contact information. During this week the group completed over 300 surveys, and through those surveys we have 70 good contacts for the new Bible study. Several people have already come as a result of the literature the group was able to pass out.

During the week we were able to take the group around and show them different cultural aspects of Peru, and the great need here in the city of Lima. The group was also a big blessing in the Iglesia Bautista El Faro, where they were able to give testimonies, and sing. The people in our church enjoyed getting to know them.

Probably the greatest things about the week was the fact that several people gave their lives to the Lord, and made everyone think about how their life can count for Christ. Bro. Max did a wonderful job of preparation before and during the trip, and we want to thank each and every one of them for sacrificing their time and money to come and visit us here in Lima.
