The most important step to ensure the success of your upcoming trip is to cover every detail in prayer. Most of the time when people think of praying for a mission trip, they only think to pray for things they want to see happen on the field. Many times we have preconceived ideas of what we want to happen on the trip, but remember God is in control, and it may be that His plan is different than ours.

While desiring to see great things happen on the trip is definitely important, you need to spend time asking God to prepare your heart and life for the trip, and empty yourself so that as you come God can fill your life with His will. Remember, God wants every part of your life, not just the part your willing to let him have.
