In February we were trying to begin making contacts so that we could start a second church in the district of Chorrillos. For 3 weeks we tried to go and do some evagelistic things and every week something happened to keep us from getting out there. Finally, one Saturday we made it to Chorrillos and within 10 minutes of getting there one of the guys that worked with us was waiving his hands for help. When we looked up we saw 4 guys and one with a gun pointed at Richard, who is the young man here working with us, and they were robbing everything they could out of the vehicle that the Lord had given us to use. 

When we saw what was happening 5 of us ran toward the car and imediately the 4 guys jumped into their vehicle and took off. Shortly after that Richard told us that he happened to be walking up from a different direction than normal and saw them robbing the car, so when he yelled at them to try and scare them off, one guy jumped out with a gun and told him not to say anther word. Thankfully Richard was able to get our attention and nobody got hurt.

They were however able to steal the computer device that runs the vehicle out of the car, and literally destroyed the whole dash board. They forced their way in with a screwdriver so it also ruined the lock on the door. It cost $700 to get everything fixed, but thankfully we still have a vehicle. A Christian brother redid the dashboard for us at cost, just to be a blessing and we appreciated that. We have faced many roadblocks in trying to start another church in Chorrillos, but at the same time God is blessings in ways we could have never imagined. Thank you for your prayers and support.
