Today was a fun and exciting day at Lighthouse Baptist Church. We had a church wide picnic at one of the big parks in Lince, and had a really good time. The purpose of the picnic was to get to know some of the people that came during our evangelistic services during the week of Easter.

We wasn't really sure how many people to expect or how the day was going to go, but everything went well. We had 60 people come, and we cooked hotdogs, played games, and spent time talking with some of the people we didn't know very well. It is amazing how much fun you can have without going to a big amusement park like we are acustomed to doing in the United States, but with a little creativity you can have a great time. It is really exciting to see a group of people be knit together, like God is doing in Lince. We have people that are coming and helping clean the church, people leading the music, and several that are involve in some level of discipleship. Tomorrow will be our last services in the current facility we have and we will be moving the church a block down the road to a larger facility. It is really exciting to see everything that is going on even though there are rough days many weeks. Yesterday, across the street from the church a lady was kidnapped and held for ransom, but thank God we have the opportunity to work in an area that needs a church to shine the light of Jesus Christ. Please continue to pray for all that is going on, that God will lead and guide and help these people do all they can to make Jesus Christ known among the nations.
