Without the Camp - Hebrews 13
|
| Written by Rick E Blalock |
| It is difficult to think outside the box when you are in it. Going against tradition and culture has always been the fight of the Christian; even the LORD Jesus Christ fought hard against the Jews strong tradition. Think on this: "Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach. For here have we no city, but we seek one to come." Anytime a person decides to follow Christ, He will take them "without the camp." A place where there is sacrifice and death that later brings forth life. A place of reproach and shame but turned into glory. A place where men scoff and God is pleased. There are many 'camps' to label, Christian and non, and it will always take reproach and sacrifice to follow Jesus "without the camp." |
