Saturday was one of those days that about
half way through you wished you could start over again. Everything
we tried to do seemed like it was ending in disaster. My car
stopped working, and that morning the mecanic called and said there
was more things wrong with it than right, and informed me it was
going to cost about $300 to get fixed. So, while I was waiting we
decided to go to the office and get things printed and ready for
Sunday, and while doing that the printer stopped working. Without
giving you the rest of the problems I will get on with the
victory. |

Well I want to thank the Lord for the
priviledge to host a pastors meeting at the church in Lince. The
Lord blessed in a wonderful way and I believe the pastors that came
went away more challenged about changing their vision to have a
focus on the world. Many of the pastors that came would have told
you before they came that they had a vision for the world, but
through some activities that we did it was clear to see that many
of them are really focused on just building a mega church. There
were 16 pastors that came, and the Lord gave us a great time
together. We were able to spend time in praying over the world,
writing down our visions for the ministry, listening to preaching
from several preachers, and watching a video that impacted everyone
greatly for world evangelism. Lord willing we will be able to
continue these meetings so that God can raise up a army of pastors
here in Lima that truly have a vision for reaching our world. |

Well, Mothers Day is always a special time
of the year and what a priviledge it is to be able to honor mothers
for the tremendous work that they do. In the new church in San
Borja we had 50 people come and out of the 50 we were able to honor
22 mothers. The Lord gave us a great service and we were able to
talk with many visitors. Please pray this week as we begin to
follow up with visitors that the Lord will allow us to be able to
witness to them and give them a clear presentation of the gospel.
In the first church we started in Lince we also saw the Lord work
in a great way. We had 45 people come and we were able to honor 15
mothers. Between the two churches the Lord allowed us to minister
to 95 people yesterday. What a victory! It is encouraging when you
see new faces because the people in the church are bringing others
so that they can be impacted through the preaching of God's word.
Luis Benites is doing a good job in Lince. There are still some
things he needs to continue to improve but he has grown drastically
in the last 2 years. Little by little I am turning over more
responsibility to him. Starting this month I do not attend the
Wednesday evening service. I have started a Bible study with
another family, and this has given me the opportunity to see how he
responds without fully pulling out. I didn't have anything to do
with planning the service for mothers day and the service went off
without a hitch. Please continue to pray that the Lord will bless,
and that we can continue to grow and see others saved for the glory
of our Lord. |

Well this past week has been incredibly
busy, but thankfully the Lord has blessed in a tremendous way. Last
Sunday we had a good group of people at church and it is exciting
to see the Lord working in the lives of others. What has been even
more exciting than the church services are the Bible studies we are
doing during the week. The Lord has helped us reach family members,
of those in the church, that many thought would be unpossible to
reach. It has been exciting to see couples that were seperated move
back in with each other and begin to fix the problems of their
marriage. Please continue to pray that God will continue to work
and help the people grow as we are laying the foundation of this
new work. |
